Introducing Modupe
Modupe initially joined the Coople community for temporary work in 2019. After working in hospitality, Modupe worked temporarily as a Technical Support Specialist with JustEat before joining their permanent team in 2022.
Why did you join Coople?
“I registered with Coople because I was studying at the same time and it seemed very convenient. I liked the idea of being able to work in different places. This was important to me as I don’t typically enjoy working in the same place for a long time. Because of that, Coople seemed perfect for me and I loved the opportunity to try out different roles as a temporary worker.”

What industry did you first work in with Coople and how did you transition into a permanent role from there?
“I started off in hospitality. One day, I happened to see the job posting for JustEat on the marketplace. Since it was a long-term remote role, I decided to give it a go. After that, I got a call regarding the job. I was asked a few questions about my experience, then I was invited to my first trial shift. Afterwards, I was consistently scheduled with them until they eventually offered me a permanent position.”
What are your personal/professional goals and how did temporary work help you to achieve them?
“When I started out with Coople, I was studying to be an event manager, but I changed career paths midway. I’m now studying to be a business analyst. Whilst I was studying, temporary work was a convenient way for me to pay for my fees and gain work experience for my career development.”

How has temporary work supported your career development?
“The best thing about temporary work was being able to see and learn from all sorts of workplaces across London. Being able to gain experience in new places has been an incredible opportunity.
What advice would you give to other temporary workers who are looking for permanent jobs?
“Keep applying and keep working. It takes time to get what you want. Once you build your reputation and profile with Coople, you will get more and more job offers that fit your goals.”
