When and why did you join Coople?
“I joined Coople in September 2021. Earlier that year, I was made redundant by my previous job due to the pandemic. I had a friend who works with Coople and she told me about the app and the opportunities they have on their platform.”
What learnings and experiences have you gained since joining the team? How have they shaped your career journey?
“With my 17 odd years in hospitality, I like to think I use my experience to add to the already great customer service we provide to our Cooplers and clients. However, I have learned many things with my time here. It’s been a great learning experience to see how the team help people find their way in the professional world. It’s great helping Cooplers try to find their ideal job, so that they can learn new skills to reach their goals.”
What goals are you working towards?
“I am trying to learn as much as I can about how the use of technology can help further the advancement in recruitment. It’s been amazing learning how the platform works and how we use it to help Cooplers find jobs.”
What’s next in your career journey?
“I hope to use the skills I’ve learned here to help progress my experience in recruitment. I’m hoping my time here will open up more opportunities to find permanent work in this field.”
What advice would you give to new flexible workers?
“I would say do not get too disappointed if you are not hired for the ideal job, you wanted straight away. There are so many different experiences and new skills to learn from the opportunities available on Coople. Always try new things. If it doesn’t work out, hopefully you learn from it and use that to improve yourself. The more experience you gain from working, the better you are for it.”
