Job description

This position shares supervisory responsibility for the shop as delegated by the Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager. Responsibilities: - Maximise sales opportunities to assist in achieving sales targets by providing effective, motivational leadership to volunteers at all times - Maintain engaging and professional customer service - Maintain shop standards - Assist the staff team to sort, prepare, price and load stock to the shop floor and ensure shop is well stocked. Also ensure stock is valued appropriately to maximise sales and profit - Production for social media - Adhere to loss prevention policies & procedures - Support the delivery of the Shop from Retail training program - Ensure adherence to H&S and other procedures including storage, manual handling, cleaning and waste management - Supervise volunteers, delegating appropriate tasks and providing support as needed - Promote customer engagement to inform them of ’s mission and activities - Ensure that any safeguarding concerns are identified & reported in line with procedure. - Other duties commensurate with the role as delegated by the permanent staff team Person specification - Retail experience ideally at a supervisory level (charity or vintage retail preferred but not essential) - Ability to meet customer needs and provide excellent customer service - Able to work under own initiative, and as part of a team in a dynamic environment - Good verbal skills & able to communicate effectively - Knowledge and ability to comply with safeguarding procedures - Commitment to 's purpose & values including equality and social inclusion We encourage applications from all sections of the community, particularly those who have lived experience of homelessnes
