Job description

This is a full time position with the opportunity to go permanent. Currently shift pattern is Tuesday, Thursday, Friday but please note that future rota's will include weekend work and different shift patterns. A BPSS security clearance is required, or must be willing to obtain, to work this role. We are looking for a talented, enthusiastic and committed Chef to join our team in Elephant & Castle. Independent Approved Premises provides housing and support to men who have recently been released from prison and are still under license conditions. You will work in a fully equipped, professional kitchen and have control of the ordering and menu designing. You will be managed by the Service Manager and work in an already established team of colleagues who are passionate about helping others. Please be aware that during the week you will be required to prepare meals to be served on the weekend. This is a one in a lifetime experience: not only you will develop your cooking skills, but receive training and experience in a variety of different areas, such as risk management, the criminal justice system, working with vulnerable adults etc. If you are interested in making a difference in the lives of marginalised people, empower them through cooking, help them develop their skills and live fulfilled lives, this is the job for you!
