Job description

We're looking for a reliable and responsible Part-Time Van Driver to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who can offer a degree of flexibility and enjoys being on the road. You will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and/or collection of samples & miscellaneous items to various locations. Key Responsibilities: · Safely operate a company van, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies · Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries and collections · Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring they are secure and protected during transit · Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly · Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery · Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and collections · Adhere to all health and safety regulations · Communicate effectively with dispatch or relevant team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays · Maintain the cleanliness of the company van · Represent & act as the face of the company when interacting with our stakeholders Qualifications and Skills: · Valid UK driving license (Category B) · Proven experience as a van driver preferably with refrigerated vehicle experience · Excellent driving record with a maximum of 6 points inclusive of any pending · Strong understanding of road safety regulations · Ability to follow instructions and work independently · Good time management and organizational skills · Ability to lift and carry up to 20kg safely with awareness of good technique · Good communication and interpersonal skills · Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is an advantage · Familiarity with using navigation apps and devices This is a part-time position requiring availability for approximately two days per week. The specific days of the week TBC dependant on applicants’ availability and company requirement.
