This is a trial shift that would lead to a permanent position. We are a family run business, established in 1985. We provide care to elderly. We are looking for a friendly person to join our team of staff in a 36 bedded care . Permanent role hours will be: Week 1 - Monday to Friday 07:00am to 14:30pm Week 2 - Monday to Wednesday / Saturday & Sunday 07:00am to 14:30pm ** Full Job Description ** - To work five days a week, 7am - 2.30pm. Must work alternate weekends. - To take responsibility for smooth running of all catering provisions. To prepare, cook and serve meals to established recipes and dietary needs - To ensure high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation - To provide special diets and prepare TMF diets, where necessary, as well as taking into account preferences of individual residents. - Assist in planning of interesting menus providing a balanced, nutritious diet, making best use of fresh foods, as available. - Regulate food temperature and record accurate readings in line with environmental health. - Maintain statutory Health & Safety and Environmental Health standards in kitchen and food delivery areas. - Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area - Assist Kitchen Assistants with washing up and general help around kitchen Xmas Day - Double time. Boxing Day - Time and a Half. Any other Bank Holiday - Time and a Quarter. Unpaid 20-minute break.
