Job description

Role Purpose: A service focused role, learning and developing your knowledge within your and throughout the Fortnum’s Business. Aspiring to become an expert Fortnum’s story teller, delivering exceptional service and team work in line with our business. Ensuring all our customers experience a sense of pleasure. Key Accountabilities: Process card and cash transactions Replenish bags and baskets Cleaning duties as and when required E.G dusting in the morning if needed • Work with the management team to ensure the smooth running of the shop • Help drive, motivate and encourage the team as a whole to hit the desired sales targets • Be a role model to deliver exceptional customer service at all times • Ensure adherence to company policies, and standards (e.g. due diligence, cleanliness, cash handling, H&S, uniform etc.) • Develop and maintain a great rapport with our customers • Ensure an achieving together team approach Customer Experience: • Maintain excellent shop standards and cleanliness of fixtures • Demonstrate thorough product knowledge • Ensure all products are clearly labelled and pricing is accurate and in line with company’s standards • Ensure all new and exclusive products/brands have corresponding signage and that it is clear and in good condition • Ensure due diligence of H&S standards – free of hazards and accidents reported correctly and of minimal occurrence • Awareness of security procedures • Participate in customer activity to deliver a sense of pleasure to our customers Key Behaviours: • Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively • Solid interpersonal and communication skills • Build strong relationships with other departments • Ability to think quickly and rationally to ever-changing situations • Demonstrate the desire and curiosity to become an expert within your role and the wider business.
