Find work

Coople, Europe’s largest platform for flexible work, announces that it will sponsor the Nendaz Freeride and Xtreme Verbier, the final stage of the Freeride World Tour, on its mission to solve staffing needs in the modern world of work. The Swiss-founded company will provide on-demand staff to cover the demand of on-site workers during the famous freeride skiing competitions. Coople will also offer one worker a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to document the Xtreme Verbier with the Freeride World Tour Dream Job.

“The landscape of work has changed tremendously and business fluctuations have become more unpredictable and disruptive than ever before,” says Anthony Vaslin, Coople’s Chief Operating Officer. “We want to help companies and organizations regardless of industry and location manage these fluctuations better.” By sponsoring the Nendaz Freeride and Xtreme Verbier, Coople aims to shape the future of flexible work for winter destinations and seasonal event organizers in the Alps.

Changing the perception of the gig economy for good

In Nendaz, Coople will sponsor the freeride competition with more than 100 temporary workers during the course of the competition, which takes place from March 8th to March 20th. The temporary workers—Cooplers—will be performing a variety of functions during the competition ranging from mountain operations to welcoming the athletes. Interested applicants should be able to ski and can apply on the Nendaz Freeride website until the start of the event.

With its presence in the Alps, Coople is challenging views of the gig economy and the expectations of flexible work. “Coople offers a wide range of jobs, and we want to show the exciting and meaningful side to flexible work,” says Anthony Vaslin. The company, a member of swissstaffing, the association of staff leasing companies in Switzerland, contributes to worker pensions and also supports regular workers taking up employment through the platform with continuing education. The company has also spearheaded social initiatives: in cooperation with the City of Bern, Coople created a “Social Temporary Jobs Platform” aimed to bring social welfare recipients back into the labor market. “Demonstrating to the world that flexible work can be dynamic as well as responsible has always been our company mission.”

Introducing the Freeride world tour Dream Job, powered by Coople

For the Xtreme Verbier—the final segment of the Freeride World Tour 2019 taking place from March 23rd to March 31st—the company is also announcing the open casting of its Freeride World Tour Dream Job. “We’re very excited to have Coople onboard as a sponsor,” says Nicolas Hale-Woods, CEO of the Freeride World Tour. “Together, Coople and the Xtreme Verbier will select one lucky applicant to film all of the action from atop the Bec des Rosses.” Interested applicants may apply for the job on the Coople website starting February 11th.
