Coople staff supported Boxpark in pouring 100,000 pints
Boxpark is a modern pop-up mall featuring street food outlets and bars. The two locations can see peaks in trade when the weather is warm as well as during sporting events. This year’s World Cup was particularly busy for Boxpark, with England’s progression to the semi-finals – along with a series of social media videos showing the large Boxpark crowds enjoying the football going viral – further contributing to an increase in crowd size at both locations. The large crowds proved to be particularly challenging for Boxpark, who had an urgent need to staff their bars at short notice.
By using Coople, they were able to book teams of bartenders for the England games at short notice, as well as ensure they were properly staffed for their peak days. Having Cooplers at both locations meant they were able to serve more customers during the games and cut down the queue times for Boxpark customers.
The results were staggering. Through the use of Coople, the Boxpark team were able to ensure they had the right amount of people in place for the peak games. It meant that over the course of the World Cup, a massive 100,000 pints of beer were sold – many of which ended up soaking the crowd.
