1. Track and limit how much time you’re spending on tasks
It’s easy to get distracted throughout the day and to suddenly lose sight of whether you are on track – so jot down your day plan the evening before and allocate set time slots for each task. But why not get an office group together to go over a healthy lunch break or breakfast – this won’t only improve your productivity but it will be great team bonding.
4. Socialising in the office
One of the many social office apps that can make your day, without even getting away from you desk, is Slack. This app allows you to talk to colleagues in an online social environment, where the targets and tasks will disappear to the background for a bit. Of course, spending too much time on apps like these, can have a negative impact on your office work. So don’t use it too often and try to keep it professional!
5. Clear your desk, clear your head
It’s nearly impossible to work on a desk which is crammed full of old papers and half empty glasses. Keep your desk free of clutter and make sure you tidy it every Friday afternoon to ensure that you start the following week with a clean, fresh desk. The desk is important, but what matters even more is the mind. Tidying your mind is like tidying your desk, once it’s done you’ll feel much better.
